Liberia Social

After spending a week at the beaches, we decided to stay closer to the airport in Liberia for our early morning flight back to the States. We were very happy with our choice of restaurant for our last dinner in Costa Rica. Liberia Social was a little slow when we arrived for our 8 pm reservation but picked up pretty quickly. The owner could not have been nicer and was very helpful. The food was great. I had the skirt steak which was very tasty and well-prepared. The menu is big and diverse. Good tamarind margaritas. I thought the value was good, especially when compared to the hotels and beach restaurants. Around 9:30 pm a trio of musicians set up and they were very good. We didn’t stay much later but obviously the restaurant and bar were going to be hopping for a few more hours to come. Taxi and Uber service is available in Liberia. We used Uber back to the airport hotel. Wish we could have spent a bit more time exploring the city center, as there was an annual (apparently month-long) festival going on.

I had a good experience at this restaurant. I tried their vegan burger, which was okay but a bit mushy. The fries that came with it were delicious. I was happy to see that they offered a variety of vegan options beyond what was listed on the menu, such as burgers, tacos, cauliflower wings, curry, and more. The service was friendly.

I discovered this amazing restaurant in Liberia thanks to Happy Cow. It's a great find, especially for vegans in Costa Rica. Upon arriving, we were quickly asked if we were vegan or vegetarian, and the staff walked us through the menu to show what options were available or could be made vegan. I tried the garbanzo bean burger and it was delicious! It was a unique dish that I had never tasted before.

If you are looking to enjoy a delicious, perfectly cooked burger, this restaurant offers one of the best I have ever tasted.

The place is beautiful. I ordered a vegan burger and it was decent, a little muddy. the riders who came with him were super good. they had a lot more vegan options than what was on the menu. burger, tacos, flower cabbage, curry, etc. friendly service.
