The Plough - Lichfield

The Plough offers some of the best pub food in the area at a reasonable price. The menu was full of tempting options like Char Sui Pork Cheeks and Beef Feather Blade, making it hard to choose. I ended up going with the Beef and was happy with my decision. The service was friendly and efficient, and there was a good selection of ales at the bar, including the local favorite Holden's Golden Glow. My only complaint is that the interior of the restaurant has been heavily modernized, giving it more of a contemporary restaurant vibe than a traditional pub feel. Overall, a great meal but lacking the traditional pub atmosphere I prefer.

I visited The Plough for Sunday lunch and was incredibly impressed with the food. I started off with a prawn cocktail that took me back to the 80's - it was generously loaded with prawns. My partner had the parfait, which was incredibly smooth and packed with flavor. The highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the lamb shank - it was incredibly tender and full of meat, possibly the best I've ever had. The vegetables and roast potatoes were also delicious. Overall, the food was exceptional and left us very satisfied. We will definitely be returning.

Fab service from start to finish staff was friendly atmosphere in the Plough was nice with other diners. Spacing of the tables was good didn't feel hemed in. Food was fantastic I had the Christmas menu 3 courses food was well presented looked tasty was tasty and more importantly it was hot fab service well worth a visit if ever you are in the area. Thank you one Happy customer.

Popped in for a beer, very busy indeed. Golden Glow was my choice of beer and it was excellent. What a great pint. Enjoyed my visit

We arrived at the pub, we were greeted warmly, and were shown to a table which was very clearly clean. our orders were taken, we requested slight changes to the items on the menu, they were noted and drinks and food delivered punctually, but not too quickly. the quality and quantity of the food was excellent, the waitresse and waiters were cordial and friendly, the bar manager was friendly and professional. it was in fact a very pleasant lunch, somewhere we will definitely visit again.
