Very delicious food. we loved it and came every day of our vacation, as we discovered this hidden shade.
We thought we would let this place go a bit, as it was the only restaurant that is only 2 minutes to walk. we are glad that we have managed to do it because we have gone back twice in our week in l’ile rousse. the place has a very relaxed and informal, sometimes almost quirky, atmosphere. the owner/cook is of martinique and is a charming woman who speaks excellent English when she fights with her French. their specialties are kreol and other high taste dishes. we enjoyed mealtimes of bark and chicken with noodles and five spicy sauce, a swordfish star in teig, which was delicious and accompanied by a sweet chili dip and an excellent (but really quite hot) crumb plate as main evening. there is what they might call conventional French food in the offer. elaine’s evening of the grilled longoustine was beautifully cooked and presented, tasty and contained the largest two longustine I have ever seen on a teller! the menu is quite small, limited to what they put on a table that they bring to their table (it is that informal.) good selection of weeps that compare very cheap with the trips in the restaurants in the center of the city. so if they feel adventurous in their choice of food and do not make a backshot (but extremely friendly and helpful) for the service, this place is worth a try. we would go back there definitiw. I think the place is only open for a few years, and the spatialities look like the place is actually not a restaurant. I wish them good future. if they are a guest in the hotel davia, this place is practically in front of their doorstep. when they are in the city, it is a short car / taxi ride on the hill from the center, but a good twenty minutes to walk. I would say it is very definitiw worth trying the pists a bit to this place.
Arriving at the restaurant we had to wait 20 minutes before a server came to see us, then there was no room to sit (we were 6) at last we took the orders the meals arrived quickly and with a lot of shifting each other without forgetting that by bringing a dish the waiter dropped the result and quite mediocre knowing that it is a little expensive.
Very pleasant to all points of view: charming setting, warm friendly atmosphere all at the service of authentic and tasty Creole cuisine! very affordable and copied; finally a little originality in Corsica!just perfect!!
