The waitress who I presume was the owner was so hospitable and extremely patient with us. Although we had worked out most of the menu there were a few things we weren't sure about but she was happy to translate. The food is simple but delicious. Everything is fresh and seasonal and cooked to perfection. The menu is not extensive but there were sufficient choices and each dish we had was wonderful. The atmosphere is cosy and relaxed and there aren't many tables perhaps 20 to 22 covers. Even though it is a small restaurant the tables are well spaced and diners are not on top of each other.A welcoming hostess who also recommended a restaurant for the next night for us - very nice of her.A really lovely little place and certainly worth a visit. Not fancy but good honest food which was absolutely delicious .Fresh and tasty and presented beautifully.
We visited here last night and loved it! Cosy and unpretentious, the service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive and the food delicious. Our delightful waitress translated the menu for us brilliantly. We both had the terrine, the pork and the cheese plate with a bottle of Sancerre, perfect. Not cheap but not ridiculously expensive, worth every penny.
Very cozy, quite place. In fact, it's one room, which isnt big. Therefore dont see it as a family dinner place (wt small kids). The menu is short (love that) meaning fresh. The service is temperate, English-like. The food is good. Definitely worth to try
With only 3 choices per course you can see the seasonality of the menu and everything is very well cooked. An Amuse Bouche to start was followed by plates of Morels and then either Monkfish with petite seasonal vegetables or for me some very well cooked rose veal with green and wild asparagus. The latter was a revelation - never seen it or even ate it on a UK menu. Didn't have room for desert. Bottles of wine pretty expensive but a glass at 6 euros and a pretty good measure - rather than a dribble in a very large glass that you get in most good restaurants.Do book, just a few tables and very busy even early on a Thursday evening.
Amazing cosy home style restaurant but with a huge touch of the French gourmet standard. A small selection of highly elaborated dishes compose the menu but it is enough to enjoy the delightfulness of northern French cuisine. Reserve in advance as it is a small place but totally worth visiting.
