Were given a menu and then not checked again for 30 minutes, although other tables get immediate service. Drinking came to dinner. It is a good place in central Miraflores to enjoy a meal that knows the expectations before when you are not well versed in Spanish.
We have spent the last 18 days visiting all the different areas of Peru, that was our last day and we decided to try this restaurant, great mistakes. We are Canadians and don't speak the best Spanish. In all our time, we have never felt so discriminated. We had to order drinks twice. The staff actively avoided our table, stared at us, but we couldn't help anyone, we had to wait at the end of the door to get someone who gives us our bill if I were dishonest, we could have left. Finally, someone I think was a manager (light blue shirt) helped us and got us our bill, she was excellent, I think she could say that we are very upset with waiting. Regarding food, the chicken was the best I ever had, but our sides (potatoes with cheese) were very cold. As a tourist I would not recommend this place.
Don Belisario is my 'go to ' for Pollo a la Brasa in Lima. Menu items are anywhere between 12 soles and 25 soles and the variety is great. My wife and I love the different sides they have for the Polla a la Brasa and the salad variety is way better than Pardos. The thing that puts Don Belisario over the top is great service. I 've never had an unkind or apathetic experience with a server here an incredible feat in Lima especially for the low cost of Don Belisario.
This was the first restaurant we visited in Lima. The staff was very patient with us acknowledging that we did not speak the language. We were a party of mine so it took the food a little longer to come out. When it did come it tasted really good. Please keep in mind that the main seating area is upstairs. This was somewhat of a challenge since we had older ones with us. Definitely would not mind eating there again before we leave.
By far my favorite chicken brasa in Lima. I love her parilla as she is always cooked exactly right and so delicious. A great meal at a local family price in a clean and comfortable room
