I visited this tea room last november because while walking around Miraflores I had seen it. I went there one afternoon with my husband, daughter in law and our grandson. I must say the place is very well put, decoration, china, cuttlery everything very fine....The service, although the place was rather empty, I must say was slow. the tea service went all right but there was no milk, we drink our tea with a little cloud of milk. So we asked the waitress and she said , we are sorry but if you want milk you have to pay for it. This to us seemed preposterous, having had tea in many place including several beautiful tea rooms in England. The choice of cakes, scones and tea sandwiches was poor. I hope next time I am in Lima I can go back and see if they have made amends.
A friend recommend that our group of friends go here before she left Lima. I was surprised and delighted. The atmosphere is perfect for afternoon tea. The food was very good, the service was excellent, and the tea itself was very good! I am hoping...to return there soon. The only drawback was that it cost me a lot of weight watchers points. My five year old son loved it too.
Very unique Tea Room with British Peruvian fare. See photos of my choices. Quiche.French Baquette smoked ham and Gruyere cheese sandwich with olive oil and exquisite sauce, sliders with fresh tomatoes cheese avocado and spicy mayo sauce!!! Soufflé Big Ben with rich dark chocolate (20 minutes...to prepare) well worth the wait!!! 10 on 10!! All in all a must visit in Mira Flores. Waitress wore British classic tea room uniforms. Very upscale Delightful Attentive service.
