We order para llevar (to go) and they are usually very fast. I recommend very fish ceviche and frutos del mar (a stew from Chicharron de pescado, shrimps, octopus and other seafood with bean sprouts, snow peas and other vegetables in an Asian-Peruvian sauce).
I've always tried to go to this restaurant during my previous trips to Lima, but I've never been able to do this until my last trip. Wow... the food was delicious that I went there twice for lunch.. The food is fresh and delicious!!! Great portion and good price. For the first day I ordered a seafood soup. I didn't know how big it would be. This bowl of soup could easily feed 4 people it was so delicious and do delicious. I went back on a Monday when they were open on Sunday, I went back the next day when it was my last day in Lima. The second time I tried that her Octopus was marinated in olives... A place for seafood lovers!! The place was packed and more people out there. Many locals eat there, they know why. When I came out of the restaurant, I saw the people in the line, I said the food is too good here, they all look at me and laugh when they knew I was so happy with my meal. Service was top notch, I had a server that was very friendly always to check if everything was okay. Price very reasonable. This place is not a chic 5*, but the food and service is 6* no wonder why they don't have to advertise. The restaurant is located in the historic centre near Plaza San Martin.
Not only the food delicious, but the price was really cheap. Try their Cufas and Ceviche, a sequence of each is enough for two. Great place for lunch not far from MALI.
Visited with a group from the US. Our translator brought us and we thought it was excellent. The ceviche was delicious as was the cooked seafood and rice. Reasonably priced. It's in central Lima but not particularly touristy.
While I would swear that Heidi was spelled Heidy or Heydi on the door, I believe this is the same place. The food was fantastic. We ordered a Peruvian beer and a fish ceviche for four of us (labelled personal ! . It was absolutely fantastic. The onions, corn, sweet potato, yucca, and fish were all great! Our server was wonderful (Mariona? I 'm sorry I forget you 're name . She was cheerful, friendly, fast, and helpful even though she didn 't speak much English (and we didn 't speak much Spanish . Definitely the best service we had in Peru. We came back the next time we were in Lima and had the Mixto Ceviche (a seafood mix . It 's billed as fish and shellfish (I think this was just four scallops on the shell , but there was squid, octopus, and shrimp in there too. It wasn 't as good or as big as the pescado ceviche. This time we also got Estruendo del Mar (fried seafood mix and Chupe de Camarones (shrimp soup . The Estruendo del Mar had some fantastic calamari and good vegetables, but the deep fried fish wasn 't so great. I didn 't like the soup, but one of our friends really enjoyed it. We watched the Manchester v. Barcelona game while we were there too. Heidi 's is a great place, but it 's not fancy. Go for the food and the service.
