We had tortellini, ñoquis made of yellow potatoes with artichoke and cremini mushrooms sauce. You have to have these dishes, I can not even begin to tell you how delicious they were. I leave the comments regarding service for last, because I have yet to experience anything unpleasant, waiters and waitresses go the extra mile to make your dining experience a memorable one.
We got delivery once, turned up a little late but the pasta was horrible for what it cost and as a result we never went to the restaurant.
I have eaten at Elia's many times over the past 15 years and have never been disappointed with the quality of food or level of service. This is a real classic and classy place to eat. I cannot recommend it more highly. This is where Peruvian couples or families come to enjoy fine Italian food. It's not really on the tourist beat. The portions are really generous and best shared between two. I suggest a starter like carpaccio of salmon, followed by some wonder ravioli with "lenguado" and mushroom sauce. Elia makes all its own pasta and has its own bakery, which also offers lunchtime combos of pasta and salad at more modest prices in a more informal setting. Elia also has great deserts and, naturally, excellent coffee.
Excellent Italian food for all to enjoy. A bit crowded but worth the wait. They serve very large portions and very tasty eats.
I am from Maryland, USA. The food was wonderful. And priced competitively for the area. Waiters speak English and are very friendly. 2 people with drinks was about S./ 140.00 or about $45.00.
