Fat Jack's Pizza Spencerville Rd - Lima

If you are looking for a heartier pizza with balanced flavors, Fat Jack's is for you. The toppings blend nicely, the crust is perfectly crisp yet not too crunchy, and the staff eager to please. We have eaten here numerous times over the years, and have never been disappointed.

Sometimes, this is the best pizza you'll find across the states. Other times, it appears to be made by a toddler. How is one piece normal size, and the one beside it an 8x10?! Or, ask me how much I love to have my toppings in one heaping pile in just one area of my pizza. You might even get lucky and get a pizza about 5 minutes before it should be pulled out of the oven. Why do I keep coming back here? Because, in all of the states that I have been, and all of the pizza that I've had, SOMETIMES this place has the best pizza of all. I just wish they could get some consistency.

Incredibly disappointing...the parking lot is usually packed...pizza isn't as good as Tombstone frozen pizza Ham sub had 1 thin slice of ham... Again, very disappointing Don't waste your time or

Fat Jacks has been in business in Lima since 1974 and although I lived in Lima from 1964 until 2002, I only ate at a Fat Jacks once and that was their first place on N. West st. Over the years I kept hearing about Fat Jacks so last time we were in Lima I thought we 'd give it a try. I ordered a pizza with sausage and onion. Wife got a mushroom and onion pizza. Were they anything special, No. Would I go there again for pizza, No. Service was very good, the place is nice, but on a scale of 1-100 for pizza, I rank this place a 20. We got a cinnamon pizza to take home. Now granted, you 're supposed to eat those there but we told the waitress we had a 2 hour drive home. She boxed it up so we could put the frosting on it when we got home. When we did get home, first thing we noticed was that there was very little cinnamon stuff on top and when she microwaved it and put on the frosting, it was, and I 'm serious, like chewing shoe leather. I had a couple pieces but that was enough. I don 't mean to be critical of this place and to be honest, I might be spoiled by Columbus pizza but I was disappointed. In their favor, the waitress did an excellent job was was attentive and helpful. Maybe my expectations were too high, but when you 're spending almost $30 bucks, I think it 's OK to be a little finicky. Don 't ya think?

I'm not sure what I expected in Lima, Ohio But I guess I expected more! I was told by someone that this is the place to have pizza while in town. This pizza in my humble opinion reminded me of sitting on my couch at 2am in college after drinking 20 beers and popping in a Tombstone pizza. It's possible the Tombstone might have been better! Uninspired cardboard garbage! The plus side, bartender/server was very nice and attentive.
