Timmy Macs Bistro - Limerick

Excellent quality food with very good value. Service excellent

I was in Timmy Mac’s Restaurant, Woodlands House Hotel, Adare, Co. Limerick with a group of friends six in total. The food was amazing, wide range of choices, with local ingredients. The service from start to finish was efficient, friendly and very welcoming. The Bistro was very comfortable and had a lovely warm ambiance. We were looked after one hundred percent. We would definitely recommend this destination for a meal.

Our evening meal was a complete disaster. The beef had a big lump of fat and fat running through the cut, we brought this to the restaurant attention and they said its near the shoulder but said we could order something else. I guess we were not first to complain about it. The chicken Wellington was stuffed with yellow peppers and carrots, the carrots were so hard practically raw. Burned beet actually whole lot was tasteless. A bit of mashed potato which was cold everything was cold. I said all this when paying and all the cashier said was have a good evening. It was so expensive I got a shock. Anywhere else would be better value. I will never eat there again.

Just a note to mrs Fitzgearld. On a visit to limerick to visit my inlaws,returning the back road to avoid Adare,we decided to visit your Hotel for some some food,as we had our wedding there 36 years ago we thought it would be nice to experience it again. We decided to go to Timmy Macs,for some nice reasonable,evening meal,but instead i felt we were mugged,e42 for a couple of burgers and chips,burgers bland,tasteless,sauses were also flavourless, restaurant is nice,but thats where it ends. You could take a leaf out Nevilles restaurant out the road,as regards menu,selection,and pricing,pity they were closed on a Monday. Youre not exactly Adare Manor,do ease off on the prices,and in hindsight i can understand now why the place was so empty.

Just had dinner this evening in Timmy Macs in Adare got a wonderful warm welcome and the Chicken was delicious my server was so friendly and he couldn’t do enough for me ... I didn’t have dessert but had coffees and got complimentary home made cookies with it ....
