We had a wonderful evening at Antlers. The food was delicious; service impeccable. The music from the bar next door was somewhat of a distraction but understandable.
Everything was fabulous! The staff was professional, friendly, and provided prompt service at the bar and in the dining area. Our food was cooked perfectly. Very flavorful. The ambiance of the steakhouse is intriguing, and we enjoyed looking at all of the detail in this historical building. We will be back soon. Thank you!!
The food and drinks were good. The issue was that four (4) steaks (3 filets and 1 Ribeye) all cooked to medium took over 1.5 hours to come to the table. They delay included the three (3) shared sides (risotto, asparagus, and mashed potatoes). For the cost, a wait that long isn’t a great deal. Additionally, all the steaks were under the medium cook we asked for and were cooked to medium rare. We did not send them back however due to the time concern.
I really really had high hopes for this place. The waitstaff was really nice, extremely attentive, friendly, no issues at all. Some little stuff just added up over the course of the night that contributed to not that great of an experience; ordered a cocktail and about three sips through it it was apparent that they had brought me the wrong one, Brussels sprouts were great, ribeye was good, risotto was extremely bland, and my husband ordered the salmon and it was still raw in the middle. Waitstaff came over at the end and said “oh right, I should have told you, our chef likes to keep the inside of the salmon raw”. I have been to five star seafood restaurants and never once have gotten salmon prepared like that, intentionally raw in the middle. That seems like less of a preference and more of a fault. Very expensive dinner for a special occasion that really wasn’t worth the money.
