Wellwood Bagels And Bialys

I usually really enjoy this place for their bagels and egg sandwiches, but yesterday I tried the chicken cutlet sandwich and it was awful. The chicken tasted old; it was so tough I could barely bite into it, and it was a grayish color. I initially thought maybe just one piece was bad, but upon checking the whole sandwich, every piece of chicken was the same. It felt like I was chewing on hard cartilage the entire time. The chicken was as hard as bone, which is completely unacceptable. I ended up throwing the sandwich in the trash. Chicken should not look or taste like this!

It felt very suspicious the way Girl 2 came out from the back and locked eyes with me, especially with so many other people around. I started to worry that Girl 1 was doing something unappetizing with my food. I realize it might have been my fault for saying something out loud, which is why I kept quiet; I didn't want to create a scene in front of my child. However, touching food without washing hands is just unacceptable. They routinely handle everything behind the counter, including the cash register that everyone touches. I've even seen workers grab bagels without gloves and tap them with dirty pens to check if they’re the ones customers want. If hygiene is important to you, this place isn't the right choice. It's disappointing because my son loves their breakfast sandwiches, but we'll be looking for a different spot nearby.

OVERPRICED!!! I paid $9.75 for just a chicken salad on a bagel—with nothing else included, not even a napkin! This will definitely be my first and last visit. A sure way to drive yourself out of business!

This place was good with the other owners now when you order a sandwich and pay over $10 they do not give the salad and pickle that comes with it this happens alot or they give you the wrong bagel. Maybe they should hire more English speaking people that understands. They always mess up..

Food is good but they don’t listen. Make sure you have all of your condiments and utensils….I DIDNT EVEN HAVE NAPKINS AND IF COULD GIVE ZERO STARS I WOULD. Terribly disappointed
