Beware of the container charge at the end of the bill if you decide to take food home. This wasn’t explained to us as we ate most of the food and decided to take some home and then wanted to charge us £16 for container charge, this was then reduced to £4 and that’s £1 each container after a conversation with the waiter and then the manager. My family and I have been going to the Bengal for years and it NEVER disappoints. The staff are friendly and helpful, the food is always brilliant and is cooked to order, and the prices are good too. We were lucky enough to be there on Sunday when, unbeknown to us when booking, all food is 50% off when dining in which was a very welcomed surprise! This deal was available another day of the week too. We went with kids and the staff were very accommodating of them getting extra (cold! plates for their food. Kid friendliness: They were very welcoming and accommodating of the kids ages 2, 5, 7 and 9. We felt at ease.
