The sweets are so beautiful and delicate that the place looks more like a jewellery shop. So far I have only tried one: Coroa da Abadessa. It is made of almond, hazelnut, spaghetti squash and egg yolk. It is delicious (a sign indicates it was elected the best dessert in a contest) and very well decorated. Since it is extremely sweet, I would recommend sharing it with someone, so you can try something else too. There are many employees (they all speak English and can describe the sweets if you are in doubt), which is good because the shop is always packed with tourists and locals.<br/ @gourmandfeet
Amazingly delicious pastries, of course, I had the pastel of Nata, but also another one whose name I can neither express nor remember that on a best list. It all disappeared very quickly and I was left with a very happy abdomen. Nice, professional staff. Super busy area, even in January.
Occupying a light, airy space in the middle of the seventh floor of the El Corte Inglese store, Alcoa had a wide range of tastefully displayed cakes and pastries. There were tables and chairs on either side of the large display area. Joana was very helpful in advising us which coffee to order. The Pastei de nata was lovely, the best we’ve had so far.
In the middle of a shopping street. We were tired of walking and really needed something small to eat. And then we saw this place. We had some cakes and a coffee. There is no seating but that's ok. The cakes and coffee were both good.
