We stumbled upon this place while waiting for our laundry. so charming and very local. 2 coffees custard meringue pastry ham and cheese toasties for Euro 8 and the ambience was great. Decor very interesting with washbasin like ancient roman washbasin, 70s vibe with cigarette machine in the corner. if I stayed around the neighbourhood would go here for breakfast every day. large selection of pastries, good coffee. the 2 ladies behind the counter didn't speak English but coffee is universal and they were busy but efficient. such a throwback . reminded me of old coffee places in the 1980s
We really enjoyed visiting this place since it is so unique and beautiful inside. The people were nice and tolerated our non-Portuguese ordering but it was quite busy and confusing as to who was next to place their order. We will still go back again.

A great find after a decent coffee and cafe in Principe Real. At the end of Bairro Alto it is a wonderful environment for the best coffee in Lisbon, hands down. The interior is worth a visit, but have a coffee, you will go further back.
