As the waiter suggested we ordered 6 dishes for 8 people everything was okay but the food was very normal nothing special, but when we got the bill they charged 24€ of things we didn't order, such as sauces each one 2€ we thought they were for free and they charged 5€ for the rice for the 2 extra people (6 dishes for 8 ppl) I found this not fair as they never asked us or tell us about this extra charge, so the chef came to talk to me in a very rude way! The thing I hated the most about this restaurant was the fact that they want to charge so much money undercover! 24€ is too much!
We live out in the wilds, so on our (fairly frequent) trips to Lisbon we like to hunt down different restaurants to try. Hoping this would have food akin to what we enjoyed a few years ago in Goa, and being in the environs, we thought we 'd give this one a go. The service was slow and somewhat surly, but we persevered and were rewarded with excellent food very much reminiscent of the real thing hot but full of flavour. We 'll go again, I 'm sure.
While not the best Goan eatery in Lisbon the food here is very good and not too spicy. Good chamucas. Good vindalhos. Good service.
Me and my wife have been visit this restaurant for so many years, particularly on the first day of the year. No special reason, but simply because it's the best Goesa food restaurant in Lisbon. Today, we went there again with my brothers and sisters in law. Mr. Sebastião, the owner, is very friendly and has always a suggestion for those who never tried Goa food, which is quite different from the Indian one. The quality and taste are simply the best you can find, even compared with the local restaurants in Goa. Please try Bojas or Chamuças as starters, and then Sarapatel or Chacutti, or even the curry. As desert, you must eat Bebinca. I suggest red wine, but you can drink also Indian beer. Enjoy.
Very good goan restaurant. Exquisite flavours. All the dishes we have had were delicious and very well presented. As dessert take the unavoidable Bebinka. Prices OK.
