Fabulous Unpretentious Little Find with Great Food We needed somewhere nearby for a simple lunch before our early evening flight home. We found this via TripAdvisor where it was modestly rated. However for good simple but delicious home cooked fare at a reasonable price it was absolutely delightful. We were made to feel like valued and welcome guests by the owner although it was clear that the mainstream clientele, in suits and ties mostly, were local business people. Actually a good sign because the locals know where to find good food at a reasonable price. We had the dish of the day, veal escalopes in a cream sauce with fried potatoes. These were fabulous halfway between crisps and saute potatoes and very fresh to the table and the veal and sauce were perfect. The star turn however was the home made desserts, in particular mine a kind of local Tiramisu creation using condensed milk chocolate and coffee and cream which the proprietor told us is his own creation that he has the rights to. It was a great taste to leave Lisbon with lingering on the palate. It may not be haute cuisine but this is one great little restaurant and the host is a lovely chap!

Lovely food, friendly service and very reasonable price

Um restaurante simples , mas que apresenta uma excelente comida, bom tempero, bem feita e bem apresentada. Comemos um bacalhau à Minhota excelente e um polvo à lagareiro também muito bom. Certamente um lugar para voltar.

Foi o melhor Polvo a Lagareiro que comi em Portugal. A sobremesa de caramelo que é chamada a sobremesa da casa é divina! Restaurante limpo, familiar, aconchegante, acolhedor, com preços muito justos.

Restaurant is very casual, but clean and comfortable. the waiter is great and speaks several languages, menu is simple and very well cooked. desserts, where also very interesting and the torta was very good. get the verde sekt house wine! great supplement.
