Each time she asks where I am sitting and insists I sit with my partner in a 2 seated table which we have no problem with. The problem we have is that several people on each occasion singularly sit at 4 seated tables or a booth and bring out a laptop or a book and she never approaches them. The worst case was when a couple in front of me ordered their breakfast and proceeded to sit at a 4 seated table and she said nothing! Then asked me if we would sit at a 2 seated table? I had ordered toast and was waiting on my coffee at the counter, I lifted a few pats of butter and she stopped serving the customer after me and grabbed the butter of my tray and threw it back in the bowl and said sternly your butter will come out from the kitchen. Rude, ignorant and a stinking approach.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely delicious and the staff were very friendly. However, the service could use some improvement. Guests have to wait in line to get in, wait for a table, and then wait in line again to order food. It would be more efficient if a few of the floor staff were serving tables instead.
The staff at the counter were unpleasant and unfriendly. It seemed like we were bothering them. We do not plan on returning.
I arranged for a large order of food to be made for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary over the Easter weekend. Everything I ordered was fantastic and greatly enjoyed by all. The chicken curry was particularly popular. I will definitely be returning for this excellent 5-star catering service in the future.
Surprisingly, having visited three or four times, it seems to get worse every time. My initial visit was with the full family on a Sunday, I thought it was potentially just the fact the staff were young and hadn’t been trained to any standard. Having worked in restaurants for a long time there are few things that really grind my gears. One is staff avoiding customers and doing no work. A second is staffs drinking in public view and a third is staff using a glass as an ice scoop, especially one they had just drank from. The coffee was weak, the food was bland and the staff looked lost. My next visit was with my daughter, she is 2, no help from the staff to carry or even offer to carry anything, was directed to the high chairs (with a 2 year old in my arms) and was told if it gets busy I’d be asked to move….it was 9am and we were the only 2 people in the restaurant. My, what will be my final visit is today, I’m actually sat here on the restaurant right. Same issues about food, this time my omelette was boarder line burnt. I am all for supporting local businesses, but I am afraid this will be my last visit. Massively disappointing.
