Visualizza tutti i feedback.
Worst service I have ever experienced. Not enough staff and those there are that run of their feet they are curt when they eventually get to you
When we arrived for our reservation, I reiterated my grandson's allergies to our server, who then informed the chef. The chef recommended a roast dinner for my grandson, which we agreed to. However, when the food arrived, it was covered in peas, one of my grandson's allergens. The server was apologetic and promptly tried to rectify the situation. Unfortunately, I had lost confidence in the kitchen staff at that point and my grandson ended up with just a plate of chips. A young employee came to our table to apologize on behalf of the kitchen staff, but there was no visit from the chef or manager. The rest of our visit was met with the staff seemingly avoiding us. While the food at Beechlawn's is delicious and the staff are friendly, the lack of proper training on handling food allergies was concerning. Allergies are serious and can be life-threatening, and it's important for restaurant staff to take them seriously. It seemed as though the staff thought we were being overly picky, but allergies should never be taken lightly.
I booked a table for six people today at 2 PM, we arrived on time and were seated, this was a lunch celebration for my 96 year old mother birthday. We had to go and ask for our order to taken, after our order was placed it was 2.55 before our meals were served we had to ask where they were, after half an hour waiting, and were told that the kitchen was only just preparing them we had to ask then two servings turned up while everyone else waited. NOT at all happy with this level of service, we also had to ask for our drinks order to be taken and then when desserts we ordered they just simply didn't turn up with no explanation but were placed on the bill removed after we pointed this out. The restaurant was not busy, we were not given any explanation as to why it took so long to be served or indeed an apology when the bill was wrong. It was a total letdown on what should have been a family celebration for our mothers birthday.
I enjoy the food at Beechlawn and dine there frequently, but today I felt quite unsafe. We interacted with four different servers during our meal, two of whom were not wearing masks at all. I was dining with a friend who is considered high risk, so I do not believe it is worth the risk to return. Although the tables are adequately spaced and hand sanitizer is readily available, having table staff without masks poses a potential danger to all customers.
I took my brother to this restaurant for his birthday lunch, but it turned out to be a disaster. There were 7 of us in our group, but the service was incredibly slow. One person waited half an hour for their starter, and then we had to wait a long time for our main courses. When my meal finally arrived, I had to send it back because the lettuce was soggy and expired. After another 20 minutes, my replacement meal still hadn't come out of the kitchen, so I had to cancel it. The waitress apologized and offered me a complimentary dessert, but even that took another 20 minutes to arrive. In the end, I left the restaurant hungry and disappointed, especially since other groups who arrived after us had already finished their meals and left.
