Auberge des Glacis - L'ISLET

The restaurant was outstanding. We ordered the gourmet package meal and it was wonderful from beginning to end. It can easily compete with top restaurants in any location. They offer interesting dishes, many of which are locally sourced. The sauces were amazing and the soup was delicious. They were also very accommodating to my gluten-free needs. The service was both friendly and professional. The decor of the dining room was beautiful. Overall, my review of the restaurant Auberge will provide a more thorough description.

I had dinner here for two nights with my party while staying at the Auberge. I was truly impressed by the excellent service. One member of our group had multiple food allergies and was a vegetarian, which can make dining out a challenge. Nancy, the owner, was incredibly attentive and accommodating, making sure it was a fun experience instead of a hassle. The meals for the rest of our group were fantastic both nights. While all the dishes were delicious, my favorite was the fish quenelles. The atmosphere added to the overall experience, with the restaurant located next to a peaceful river. Start your meal with a glass of wine on the deck and listen to the water rushing over the rocks as you enjoy the evening sun. It's perfect.

The restaurant is located in a charming old mill with thick stone walls, overlooking a beautiful creek. It is a great spot for a romantic evening, with delicious food. However, the prices are high and the service is quite slow.

Dined here as a party of 5 two nights while staying at the Auberge. I was sincerely blown away by how gracious the service was. A member of our party has several food allergies that make it challenging to dine out (no garlic, onions, wheat, etc., plus is a vegetarian). Nancy, the owner, was unbelievably attentive and accommodating, reassuring us that it was a "fun challenge," and not a hassle.The meals for the rest of our party were wonderful both nights. While all the dishes were excellent, I think the winner for me was the fish quenelles. The setting only adds to the experience, tucked next to a little river. Start your meal with a glass of wine out on the deck and enjoy the sound of the water rushing over the rocks while you soak in the evening sun. C'est parfait.
