They were not satisfied with having to pay halfway through their meal and had to inquire about finishing their meal and paying at the end to ensure that the restaurant handled the situation appropriately.
The restaurant has a lovely and welcoming atmosphere. They offer a wide variety of sushi rolls to choose from. However, it can be a bit pricey when dining with children, and there is no nearby competition for sushi.
The mini spring rolls were old and dry, the mini-octopus balls hardly warm and the sushi very tasteless. the atmosphere is cold, dark and uninviting from the road and the two pigeons wander around the floor probably eating the place more inviting.
I have visited this restaurant a few times. The sushi is good, but not outstanding. The issue seems to be that the restaurant looks somewhat dim and unwelcoming. If they were to do a little redesign, this place could be much improved.
While the lighting in this lovely cave of a place is subdued, the quality of the Japanese food shines out. Tasty little numbers, the small portions satisfy the taste buds wonderfully. The quality of the food is very good, which ensures people returning regularly. The...service is a bit variable, but this, I guess, is due to new staff learning the ropes.
