Los Jalapenos - Little Elm

We have dined here before and had a wonderful experience, but this time was different. We chose to sit inside, and it had a terrible smell, reminiscent of a port-a-potty. I tried to overlook that, but when I opened the menu, I noticed black mold growing inside it, which forced me to leave. It seems like the restaurant could really use a thorough deep cleaning.

Poor experience Started off with chips a salsa and the salsa dipping sauce bowls were micro scopic. Same story for the ‘bowl’ of queso that looked and tasted like cheese wiz. Food came out fast and looked microwaved to be honest. The quality of the food followed suit. I held onto hope getting a margarita on the rocks a felt there was nothing special about it. Only positive was the atmosphere and live music. We will not be returning to this location. Way too expensive for the quality of food.

With the new managment the service is great and the food is much much better!

I want to give a shout out to Los Jalapeños! We purchased a Groupon today and went in, but there was some confusion about how to redeem it. The staff informed us that they couldn’t honor it because they haven’t published Groupons in ten years. While this was frustrating, I spoke with the owner and expressed my concerns. Fortunately, we worked out a solution together. We both reached out to Groupon to address the issue, understanding that it wasn't fair for either the restaurant or the customers to be caught in the middle. In the end, they went above and beyond to make things right. The salad was delicious, and the drinks were enjoyable as well. Huge thanks to the manager, owner, and our wonderful waitress for their excellent service!
