Been craving pasta a lot lately. Stopped in for the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs left a little to be desired. They weren't bad. Just less than great. The pasta and sauce were great. Dessert. I love carrot cake. I love bread pudding. The combination is natural, right? Served in a cast-iron skillet, the presentation is nice. Should have been warmer. It was light on carrot cake spices. The sauce was chilly. The flavor is reminiscent of pancakes. Just doesn't taste much like carrot cake. The atmosphere was nice and laid back. A nice mix of people. The staff seems upbeat. Very likely to visit again next time I'm in town. I really should have taken pictures. The presentation was very well done.
Okay, first of all I'm not trashing the place, I'm laughing about the experience. I was at Sauce d Sunday morning with friends for our first time to try brunch there. I'm looking at the menu and see the Cinnamon Rolls. I'm a huge appetizer fan and cinnamon roll fan and I'll pay good money for whatever, so I thought this would be awesome. After reading the description....GIANT CINNAMON ROLLS...I was hooked. Well, out comes a little skillet with two SMALL rolls. I even asked the sweet little waitress if there were more ?? She was busy, and a little overloaded so I didn't say anything else. The more and more I thought about it, I had to say something. If they had been home made they still werent worth five bucks apiece. The pic with the red drink in it is from an old review, that looks more like I was thinking. So here are two shriveled rolls tasting worse than from a can on our table. I did some math... if a can of Kroger cinnamon rolls cost 3 bucks a tube and have 8 in each tube. That's 40 bucks for a 3 dollar investment. They could of at a least thrown in a couple more rolls for $10... The place is good overall, just beware of the appetizers ! :
My family were in town for just a day and wanted a quick dine in before heading back home. So happy we stopped here. This Texas gal loved the vibes and food! Entire staff was welcoming! We were seated right away. Our food arrived fresh, hot and delicious. Can’t wait to eat here again
The food is excellent! We received great service and our food came fast. One thing I would suggest is that if you plan to go during the peaks, call ahead and reserve. It is not a huge space and sitting is somewhat limited. But definitely worth waiting, even if you don't.
