Harvester The Windmill Littlehampton

Our server Mark was delightful and the food was excellent. However, we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated, despite many staff members walking past us. We ordered two rounds of drinks, but both times they did not arrive until we specifically asked for them after another 10 minute wait. The food, on the other hand, came out very quickly and was delicious. Dessert was also fantastic. Thank you to Mark for being a great server.

It is unfortunate that this restaurant was destroyed in a fire a few weeks ago. We were planning to have breakfast here before our trip to Harbour Park next door.

I've eaten here a few times over the years, and in general the service is good and the food okay. Typical Harvester with good visits and not so good visits. Sadly on Thursday 10 August 2023, the restaurant burnt to the ground. Too soon to say if it will be rebuilt, but if it is, it probably will take at least a year, maybe two years before we see it back again.

Arrived at this restaurant during a chaotic early evening rush. The host was friendly and informed us that since we hadn't made a reservation, we could sit in the bar area, which we agreed to. Our table was promptly cleaned for us. The bartender, however, did not seem very interested in serving us and took a long time to prepare our drinks. I ordered mushrooms for my starter followed by a salad bowl. The starters arrived quickly, but the mushrooms were lukewarm. The salad bowl was decent, but lacked croutons and beetroot, and the presentation was not very neat. Despite this, the food we did have was okay. The busy atmosphere meant that the tables were cluttered with dishes and glasses, and there was not a single clean table in the bar area. Unfortunately, I do not think I will be returning to this Harvester in the future. Not the best experience I've had at a Harvester restaurant.
