Short version: Great food, great service, relaxed atmosphere, ok price.I was on the way home from a morning in the mountains and saw a sign for Okinawa Sushi from 470. Having lived in Okinawa for 5 years I was struck with a bit of nostalgia and decided try it out.I got the Fireman's and the Silk roll, then ordered some pork broth Ramen, as I assumed that was their name for tonkatsu Ramen. I paired all of that with a lychee sake. The bowl of Ramen was large. Easily a meal by itself. The broth was delicious, the noodles were good, though not my favorite type, the char-siu pork was great, the egg was more done than I like it, but all-in-all the Ramen was a win. The sake was surprisingly good. I enjoyed the sweetness with salty rich broth. Both sushi rolls were full of flavor without being drowned in sauce. The whole meal was delicious, though a bit too much for one person, I had to bring home the sushi I didn't eat for my kids. The price without tip was around $60. A little more than I would like, but not really above the average any more.Summary and recommendation: I enjoyed my time there. I ate at the counter and relaxed. The server was friendly and attentive. I wasn't rushed at all. It was a great lunch. I wasn't really struck by any particular decor or atmosphere that made me remember Okinawa, but it was a good meal. I would totally recommend it.
The fish is always great at this place. Fresh, flavorful, and just delicious. I had the Unagi Donburi and it is cooked just perfectly and comes over rice. My son got a selection of rolls. ALWAYS great.Food: 5/5
I love the sashimi, and the service was awesome!Food: 5/5
My party of 8 was promptly seated and we ordered a variety of sushi dishes, all of which were well-received. My granddaughters enjoyed the teriyaki chicken with rice. We shared delicious desserts including strawberry cheesecake, chocolate cake, and mochi ice cream. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the food was served hot. I would highly recommend this restaurant! They offer vegetarian options and kid-friendly dishes, as well as wheelchair accessibility with parking and ramps available.
