There is plenty of space to dine, and the outdoor seating area is lovely. Since it was a warm night, having the option to choose where to sit was great. The fish and chips, along with the sweet potato fries and an additional side salad, were absolutely delightful—served hot and crispy. Unlike some places where sweet potato fries can be soggy, the ones I had were perfectly hot and crisp, just like the delicious fish. Our server, Cathy, was incredibly attentive, friendly, and hardworking; nothing seemed to be too much trouble for her. The bar staff was also very welcoming. We will definitely be returning. First time visiting this restaurant with friends. Pleasant surroundings staff were polite and attentive but we found the service between courses was very long. Another aspect I didn't like was the playing of background mudic/songs with did not help with trying to hear conversations with our friends, particularly as my wife and I wear hearing aids hence 4 not 5 stars. Food was top notch, hot and very tasty so well done on that. Our experience will not put us off returning.

Since the Halfway House started serving food again, it has been our regular eatery and has never disappointed in delivering quality food and excellent service. The service from the staff is absolute top quality, notably Cathy, who is never seen without a smile or a friendly word or two while she looks after her customers, even when it is busy. I visited today to try out the new menu, and it was fantastic! The food was incredible, and our server, Cathy, was delightful—constantly checking on our drink refills. The bartender, Brand, always had a smile on his face as well. The staff here are truly friendly. Thank you so much, Halfway Away!

We visited The Halfway House for a family dinner with a party of 17. Even though we hadn't made a reservation, the staff quickly arranged tables for us side by side and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The service was excellent, and nothing seemed too difficult for them, especially our waitress with dark hair (I apologize for not catching her name). The food was delightful and very flavorful. The decor is impressive, and there's plenty of space between tables, which is great for families with children who might get a bit restless. Overall, it's a fantastic pub with great staff and delicious food! They also have a bar and an outdoor area with tables!
