This restaurant is a hidden gem. The staff are excellent, especially Ross who must have extensive experience in customer service. They never fail to go above and beyond to make sure you have a great experience. The breakfast here is hands down the best in Liverpool, with top-quality ingredients and incredible value. The coffee is amazing, and the music playlist is so good that you'll never want to leave.
This delightful medium-sized café turned evening bar, Hemingway's, is like the great author Hemingway himself - understated yet impressive. I frequently visit Liverpool for business and need to eat out for breakfast. Since the pandemic, most cafes don't open until 08:00, but Hemingway's opens at 07:30, perfect for my office hours. The breakfast here is more UK style than Euro style, but it's far from a greasy spoon. It has a funky blues bar vibe. The coffee is excellent, and the fried egg and bacon toasted sandwich (£4.95) was perfect - made with real fresh bread, tasty bacon, and a delicious runny egg (though I'll ask for the egg a little harder next time). I paired it with a large glass of fresh OJ for a total of £8.95. Hemingway's also offers wraps, yogurt and granola, jumbo cooked breakfast, and a build-your-own option. I didn't see any fresh pastries, but I didn't ask either. The service was quick and friendly - I was the first customer in the door at 07:30 and they were ready to go. I'll definitely be back soon as this place is a great find.
Nice little coffee shop that transforms into a bar in the evening. Went to watch the Eurovision final and the atmosphere was amazing! Nice friendly crowd, family and dog friendly! Enjoyed a few of their cocktails including the slightly ahead of its time ‘Zomb-Tea’ (I think that’s how they spell it)…they livened things up with some blow up musical instruments to add to the overall vibe of the evening. Every seemed to have a great time. Service was great (order at the bar, delivered to table). Recommended.
We stopped by this café bar for a quick breakfast. We had tea and toast, which was quite affordable. It appeared to be a popular spot for people heading to work.
