Boccone South - Livingston

Had an excellent Italian meal; all dishes were delicious and beautifully presented. In my opinion, it's the best food in Livingston. The service was friendly and attentive. The owner takes pride in his food.

Boccone is a real gem of New Jersey. Silvio's special menu is a remarkable experience of new flavors of classic and contemporary dishes. From the lamb shank sambucco to the bread pudding, your upscale foodies won't find such an extraordinary experienceanywhere else. The service is world class, exemplary and so fitting for a family party or a romantic dinner for two. You willcome for the food and you'll keep coming back for the service. MUST VISIT!

What a delightful evening with friends, eating authentic amazing Italian food! Many menu options for meat, pasta and vegetarian eaters, with friendly service. Even the owner Silvio came around to check on us and make sure all was as should be. BYOB -reservations recommended.

Outstanding, in a literal sense. The food here truly stands out (starter, main course and dessert). Everything we had was absolutely amazing, both in taste and presentation. The stuffed pork chop special was the best piece of pork I?ve EVER had (noexaggeration). WOW?.. We?ll be back, often (new favorite).

The food was not up to the quality of food by Silvio I experienced many times in South Orange or Millburn. Octopus special was mushy and hidden in an average red sauce. Monkfish wrapped in prosciutto was overcooked and served next to a huge mound ofgreen dyed mashed potatoes. Special salad and salmon were acceptable. Good food in this area is well rewarded. Adisappointing experience!!
