Sandwiches were superb, onion rings as well. Deserts to go. A definite 10 out of 10!
UPDATE TO OWNER...NO it was definitely your establishment and I have the receipt and photos as proof! We are the couple that you IGNORED when you asked the only other Patrons that were there how they were doing. It said volumes of why you were empty at lunch time for such a reasonably priced pastrami Sandwich. Rather than get defensive perhaps just listen. It is no Harolds! First, The ladies room smells like a port authority bathroom. Judging by the amount of dust in the ladies room and the smell it is pretty close. I wish I went in the bathroom before ordering a Pastrami sandwich. The sandwich is reasonably priced at $22...but the quality of meat is rubbery and it was COLD. Service is poor and I am sure I have had cafeteria food which is much better! You have been warned!!
They say this is the best deli in NJ. I hope not. Had the pastrami Reuben. It was mediocre, nothing special, from the rye bread, the pastrami, and the Russian dressing. Just ok. Big portions, and could only eat half of my sandwich, but would have eaten more if it was good. Corned beef Reuben was the same. Matzo ball soup was the same too. Had better. Another person had the cheese steak, and this was the best of the four, but in my opinion still just mediocre.
Delicious pastrami sandwiches and lots of other menu items to choose from. Expensive but comparable to Harold's NY Deli pricing for their sandwiches. The difference is quality. Eppes meat is much leaner. My new go-to to satisfy my pastrami cravings.
