The DeBruce exceeded all expectations in every aspect. The hotel is beautifully designed with attention to detail. The dining experience was amazing and the rooms, including the beds, were incredibly comfortable. Despite being involved in a car accident on the way to dinner at The DeBruce, the staff were incredibly generous and accommodating. We had not planned to stay overnight, but they offered us a room for free and were so kind and friendly throughout our fabulous dinner. A big thank you to the staff at The DeBruce!
1. The rooms are the smallest I have ever seen. We didn't even have a decent view. The picture of what we booked made it look like there would be an armchair and plenty of space in front of the bed, but we ended up with a tiny wire chair and very little space, maybe only 2-3 feet around the bed. 2. While they do provide special meal options, I don't think this makes up for the cramped room experience. They should be more transparent in their advertising and let customers know that the rooms are very small. Are the pictures stretched? 3. The pool is so small that if two people go in, it looks full. I suspect that their advertising pictures are either cropped from the sides or taken at angles that make it hard to gauge the true size. Overall, we were very disappointed. We have no complaints about the food or service, but we were shocked by how small everything was compared to what was shown on their Instagram. We felt like their promotional materials were extremely misleading. PLEASE BE MORE HONEST IN WHAT YOU ARE SELLING TO PEOPLE.
Eating is excellent: every dish thought out, adventurous and elegant. the atmosphere: minimal and the grounds are impressive. the personal: such a nice group of people! a warm and welcoming staff that does not try to sell their experiences on their back. bring them a good book and stay at the fire! get spa services in their sister's house, kenoza hall. the massages are divine.
We just went to the restaurant and had a wonderful time. the engagement for local heritage and culinary excellence was shown by the moment we entered. very quiet, natural ambiente. delicious concepts, beautiful presentation. would highly recommend.
