We went again this weekend to use our gift cards and their doors were closed again. We messaged them on Facebook and asked if their times were wrong to times to come in again. They blocked me. We are so tired of trying to go and them not be open without any sign or posting of it. Then blocking someone when they try to ask why. So unprofessional
The waiter was very nice and I enjoyed the place/atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was not good at all. It tasted and looked like they just got some basic ingredients and jarred sauce at Kroger and slapped it together. It doesn't help that the shrimp pasta only came with four shrimps....
I 'm torn between 2 or 3 stars. I heard good things on Facebook about LBV so my husband and I went to check it out on our much needed date night. Well let 's start with the lemonchello because that is what set the tone for the rest of the evening. I ordered the Lemonchello cocktail sans the cranberry juice (that 's just not necessary unless you want it to be pink . I 'm not sure what part of Italy uses lemon juice in lemonchello. I don 't recall lemon pulp being in any lemonchello I 've ever had and the time I made some from scratch we only used the lemon peels. Pretty sure the LBV lemonchello cocktail is just lemonade and vodka (and cranberry juice which, again, is just not necessary . Husband ordered some bourbon drink well he said it was suppose to have bourbon in it. The special was Pecan Crusted Duck. Asked the wait staff to tell me about it and they did not sell me on it. They kept saying peanut but it says pecan, didn 't seem to really know much about the dish, and lacked excitement leading me to think that it 's not that special. Ok... Eggplant Parmesan for me, husband ordered Chicken Parmesan. While we chatted and watched a record spin as a cup of coffee is able to defy the laws of physics by constantly producing steam on the tv we saw a few people come in to get To Go orders. One guy was back a few minutes later as his order was wrong. Ouch. He waits while they remake it. Time passes and they bring his order. He checks it. It 's still wrong!! Meanwhile another customer appears from the back (Wait, there is more behind the wall?! Yep another dinning area. with the check to hand to the waiter saying they needed to leave because they needed to be somewhere else. It looks as if the waiter had forgotten about his table in the back. This calls for more bread which was yummy as was the olive oil and spices but alas their food truck betrayed them and they did not have any bread. Back to the guy waiting for his corrected order. They eventually get it right and he is on his way. Yay! Our food comes. We both agree that the Eggplant and Chicken are delicious!! The breading was light so as it was not really heavy just crisp. However, we didn 't really care for the pasta (spaghetti . Husband thought the sauce tasted canned, I was unsure. We had lots of noodles left over but we did not want to take it home. Husband and I both worked in restaurants while in college so we are understanding to what happens in the front and back of the house. If there was a manager I 'm not sure who it was as no one seemed to fill that role. Nor was a bar tender to be seen. Waiters made the drinks for their tables. Maybe some training is needed in this area about what Lemonchello is and is not. Maybe we went on a bad night. Maybe the manager and bar tender quite leaving wait staff to fill in. Maybe there were issues in the back of the house that needed attention. Maybe we will give them another shot but I think we will stick to other Macon restaurants we know for now.
The Alfredo sauce was watery. The Tuscan pasta sauce was all heat and no actual flavor. I poured the olive oil /spice bread dip into it to make it edible. The lattes were ice cold. Not sure what 's going on in that kitchen but it needs help.
Great cocktails and warm environment. Dinner needed some help salt and pepper does go along way. We did not order desert but our friends did and it looked delicious. Overall a very nice experience the bread was very fresh and tasted well with the herb and olive oil mixture.
