The place was busy, which is saying something for this restaurant, the food must be good and the locals are loyal to them. It took the server at least 10 minutes to get to us with menus, we didn't get our coffee or juice for another 20 minutes, which is how long it took to get our meal of bacon eggs and one piece of French toast. The regular toast wasn't ready at the same time as the meal and was cold when we finally got it. The butter didn't melt on either slice. The food was cold, the bacon hard and the hash browns hard, dry and cold. The food had obviously been sitting in the kitchen for a while. The ketchup bottle was empty and we had to ask for another. Please, Maggie Mae's, you are open for business fully, so have an extra server and help for the chef, on the morning shift on the weekend so the server doesn't have to wait tables and take cash and be run off her feet. I hope you pay this poor server well.
Maggie you have a great restaurant, food was great and thanks for helping me with my allergies. Service was great and portions were plentiful.
Great homestyle comfort type food. Tasty meals and friendly staff. It's located in the Royal Hotel and I probably wouldn't have known it was there if a co-worker didn't recommend it first.
Food was very slow getting to us. There were at least 4 misorders on the group of 9 people (three different tables as we could not all sit together following guildlines, which is ok. Food was cold and toast was horrible. I do not want cold greasy food. I want order correct. Plus why have a special if waitress is not offering customers it? All the work the chef does to prep and waitress does not tell people. Yes sign at door but still. Deal with that waitress, I am sure I am not first person to tell you about her.
My usual restaurant was closed due to the pandemic, and I had heard great things about Maggie’s so I decided to give it a try. The waitress was rather a Sargent Major, food arrived in a timely manner and was average. I had 2 eggs, 2 toast, some bacon, and rather dehydrated hash browns, and a glass of water. My meal came to $14.25 before tip. In my mind certainly not good value for your money, will not return.
