Most of us had panini and then, of course, finished off our meal with the incredible gelato!!! I would definitely recommend this place when in the area. Marco is passionate about his restaurant and it truly shows!!
One of the best gelato I've tried in Switzerland. The have many flavours. Nocciola that I had was fantastic, so rich hazelnut flavour. Good crepes as well. Would definitely suggest stopping here for gelato when you're visiting Locarno.
I must say upfront that I am not an ice cream fan. But to make my visit to Locarno complete I tried the ice cream here because it is conveniently located near the train station. I think the ice cream was nothing special, just regular. I had "bacio" flavour, which containes lots of nuts, mimicking Ferrero Rocher.
This is the real deal. All natural ingredients, original flavors, fair prices. Note- cash only. They don't use any premixed powders with bright colors - always a clue to stay away. Skip all the other gelato shops and head straight here. Right by the water.
The name says it all-this is true gelato. It is made with fresh ingredients, not from powdered mixes that most gelateria use. Save room after lunch or dinner for a special treat from here. I am partial to the chestnut puree and feta/fig flavors. Prices are reasonable.
