San Felipe Mexican Cuisine

I visited this restaurant for dinner last Wednesday and I have to say, the food was fantastic! I ordered a steak chimichanga and my wife had flautas. The chimichanga was smaller than what I'm accustomed to, but it was incredibly tasty. The rice and beans were also very good; I appreciated that, unlike many Mexican restaurants, this place doesn't add vegetables like carrots to the rice. My wife enjoyed the flautas as well, and I've never been a fan of flautas at other places, but these were outstanding. If you get the chance, definitely check this place out!

Delicious food offered at great prices. The staff is exceptionally courteous and attentive.

A Mixed Bag But Mostly Good The restaurant was very busy at lunchtime today (Sunday , but our server was attentive to our table. He made sure the chips and salsa (both very good were always filled and served our food and drinks quickly and efficiently. The Shrimp Fajitas, Enchiladas and Chimichangas were all up to par. The Huevos Rancheros were not. The eggs were cooked like an omelet and extremely dry and tasteless even though they were smothered in a Mole Sauce. I'm not sure what the other items (sauces? on the plate were, but they were not good. We will definitely be back, but no more Huevos Rancheros for us.

I called right away to address the charge since we were supposed to get the lunch portions. The person on the other end was rude and claimed there was no manager available to speak with, suggesting I call back tomorrow. He insisted that lunch portions weren't offered during dinner hours. This would be understandable, but we have successfully ordered lunch portions during dinner many times before. When I pointed out that if we were being charged for dinner-sized portions, we should have received those, the employee was dismissive, saying that my husband ordered lunch portions. It made no sense, especially since we were charged for dinner. To make matters worse, the call ended abruptly with the employee claiming no one was there to help. We have supported this restaurant with our business for years, but after this experience, we will not return. If you charge us for dinner portions, we expect to receive what we paid for. This was a frustrating and unprofessional encounter, and we will take our business elsewhere. It's disappointing.

The food, service and price are far from what it was when I first started coming here 10 months ago. Nachos today had only the taste of salt. No toppings or seasoning. Pricing makes it painful. I hate to be that guy. I was a fan.
