I ordered the 'black with the lot' burger which is a chicken schnitzel burger where the crumb has activated charcoal in it. The sweet chilli mayo was delicious and complemented the chicken perfectly! It was quite hard to eat as the burger was so large and the chicken kept crumbling but it was very tasty!
Grill’d is our usual go to place when visiting Garden City. The now well established burger joint specializes in gourmet burgers in an energetic and youthful environment. We were there for weekday lunch and ordered: Sir Truffle, Summer Sunset & side of chips to share. 15min from ordering, Sir Truffle made a welcoming arrival. The decent sized burger contains wagyu beef pattie, mixed greens, aged cheddar & truffle mayo with a touch of cracked pepper. Biting into the burger was a luxurious experience with the perfectly cooked wagyu pattie bursting fatty juice only to be enhanced by the fragrant truffle mayo. The cheddar adds a necessary funkiness to the burger and matches the wagyu to perfection. My palate was left with a lingering truffle and beef taste. What a beauty! 4.5/5 Next on the agenda: Summer Sunset. The massive burger holds a normal beef pattie, slice of pineapple, BLT, avocado & onion dressed with tomato relish & herbed meyo. It’s a true burger with the lot! After cutting in half to share, we realised the pattie was over cooked. Flavourful it is, but lacks the wow factor compared to the wagyu. Flavour was well balanced with right amount of salads to complement the oily meats. A hard act to follow after the Sir Truffle. 3.5/5 Being a big burger fan, I confidently rank the Sir Truffle in my top 3 best burger in Brisbane. It really was that good. Hint: Their lamb and chicken burgers are average at best. Burger goes best with beer.

Mrs Kan Do is a big fan of Grill'd burgers, in particular the beef burgers (lamb not so good), and I have to admit they're pretty good. I would recommend the Big Queenslander or the bacon and cheese beef burgers. The Garden City Grill'd is as good as its counterparts in West End and the city.
Burgers where pretty good. Food came out relatively fast and fresh. Most of the staff seem lifeless, seems like they don't really care to be here. I have been sitting here looking at a dirty table for the last 15 minutes. Please guys, smile
