The restaurant Mama Lola is a very cultural spot in Loja, offering a variety of typical dishes from the city. They serve traditional foods such as dried meat and guinea pig, along with bocadillos, a popular sweet treat in the area. The restaurant is decorated with cultural imagery depicting the history of Loja. I particularly enjoy eating the meat with kartoffel and horchata, a typical drink of Loja. It's a lovely place to gather with family, as I did with my sister, nephew, and sister-in-law yesterday. Sometimes they even have live music. In my opinion, Mama Lola is the best spot to try the traditional cuisine of Loja. I find it to be a peaceful and enjoyable place to visit. If you're in Loja, I highly recommend checking out Mama Lola for a taste of the local food scene. You may also want to try the cantaclaro, another typical drink that's perfect for sharing with friends.
The service was excellent, the atmosphere clean and organized, and the dining experience was exceptional. This is a must-visit place in Loja.
Excellent place for gringos, tourists or for Locals! Extremely popular, and very nice. Locals love it, and it's always pretty busy, but prices are very reasonable!
First time in Ecuador, had to try guinea pig. This is the place. Must have the coconut milk. Nice atmosphere, friendly service!
