Got there and they were closed for a Halloween night special occasion dinner for out of town guests. WHY ALLOW A RESERVATION FOR A TIME WHEN YOU ARE CLOSED? We wound up having to go to Burger King.
It's easy to dismiss Casey's as yet another of many Greek-inspired venues in the Western suburbs. That, however, would be a mistake. From the moment you walk in and are greeted by one of the two owners, you feel a sense of "home". Normally I shy away from appetizers unless they're a specialty of the house; then I saw the saganaki! The three of us descended upon an order of one of the best plates of this delicacy I've had in a long time. It was flamed at table-side, as per custom; crispy around the edges with a mild creaminess. In a word; addictive : My wife, after many minutes perusing a virtual old testament of choices, picked a slightly breaded and lightly pan-fried chicken breast in a piccata sauce of white wine, lemon and capers, served with rice. Our companion ordered a London Broil served with a bordelaise sauce over noodles. I too had a taste for beef and unhesitatingly ordered a queen cut prime rib which, in a Greek establishment, you'll never go wrong choosing . It was tender, perfectly done to order, and with a side of braised seasoned potatoes, satisfied my cravings. Casey's is a throwback to the days when old-world hospitality and excellently crafted food was the norm. And places like this are fast disappearing.
Made a reservation through open table. When we arrived I told they do not accept reservations and had no affiliation with open table.
I was very disappointed the first time I made reservations on line and they were closed. we drove there I even downloaded a coupon to my phone first time this was a Birthday celebration next time I will make sure to speak to someone
