Only ate here a few times, not on the beach but some of the better food on the island offering good value.

Great spot to relax and enjoy the island. The staff are fantastic and the free breakfast is the perfect way to start the day. Private rooms are great value.

Great hostel would recommend. Food and staff were lovely, we had our laundry done and rented bikes for cheap. Excellent location a couple minutes walk from the main street. Only thing I would say is I personally found the mattress uncomfortable but that is subjective I guess

Myself and 5 friends stayed at Broken Compass on Gilly T for 5 nights. Upon arriving (Sue) greeted us with a huge smile and provided us with all necessary information ie; towels, wifi pool and food information. She was extremely friendly and warm. Breakfast has delicious small crepes with fresh fruit and bar staff always greeted us by first name. Joe and Andy were two of the most inclusive and professional bartenders and always made sure we were taken care of! They went over and above hostel bartending. Our rooms were simple and clean with functioning cold Air con and drying racks provided for every room. Having stayed at over 10 different hostels I highly recommend Broken Compass.
