They are so great when it comes to catering to allergies of all kinds, not to mention the baked good like the SCONES OMGOODNESS to die for!! We make sure to preorder a couple hours before getting to the bakery cause pastries sell out quick! Amazing owner, attentive staff a wonderful experience every time!
The inside is decorated nicely and has plenty of seating. Cozy atmosphere. Delicious bakery items with a good amount of variety. Coffee was full flavored and sweetened just right. Didn't wait too long to receive drinks.
Bought a cookies and cream chocolate cake yesterday. The flavor was very disappointing and tasted old. The cake was not ready on time. Phone number taken when ordering was never used to clarify the writing on the cake and lame excuse was given. Very disappointing flavor. Should have got the cake from Vons Pavilion.
Having a child with allergies is not easy! However, The Trim Tart saved the day by baking a special dairy and egg free cake for my sweet girls 3rd birthday. Their prices are extremely affordable. The cakes are delicious, and the customer service is top notch! Seeing my daughter eat cake for the first time, was actually pretty emotional. I had shared my concern with Marcy when placing my order in regards to my daughters severe allergies and she made sure that she and the rest of the staff, did absolutely everything possible to ensure that my daughter can enjoy her cake without any risks. The precautions they took, the excitement they also shared to know that my daughter could finally enjoy cake, meant absolutely everything!! I wish I would’ve found this bakery sooner!! To all my mamas who are afraid to introduce allergens especially for a 1st bday, I highly recommend The Trim Tart.(Side note: I received a quote elsewhere for this exact cake for $250. However at TrimTart, I was able to get this cake and amazing customer service for under $50.)Thank you ladies for being absolutely amazing!!!
What a disappointment! If you ever had their ferrero forever cake in the past and want to order it again, save yourself $60 and a letdown. I 've had two experiences with this bakery. Originally I ordered a ferrero cake back in January. It sort of deflated and what was supposed to say 40 and Fabulous ended up being 40 an Fabu... . Oof! That 's exactly how I felt presenting this cake, but we all dug into the deflated cake and raved about how delicious it was. I think the owner gave me back like $5 or something. But I decided to give the cake another try this Thanksgiving. Price had gone up $5 no big deal, but the cake size also seemed to have shrunk in all directions and I ordered a larger cake so that 's weird. Still not a game changer as long as it tastes good. But that 's only the beginning. Let me just preface by saying HOW stoked I was about this cake. I literally told everyone who would listen and promised to return with photos and business cards. I show up at the bakery the day before Thanksgiving super excited. Even chose to purchase a pecan pie in their display. They push a waver form for me to sign and while I 'm trying to read it and stuck in the middle of a busy crowd, one of the ladies bring out my cake. I took a peak and it was all white. Not how I remembered but I wasn 't about to make a fuss. Perhaps they design differently on holidays. Please take a look at the different exterior designs between my two pictures. Anyways, I sign the waver and off I go. I bring it to Thanksgiving dinner raving about this Ferrero Rocher cake. We cut it and I take a bite of a white cream cake. TOTALLY DIFFERENT TOTALLY WRONG. I 'm confused but I don 't want to make a stink at Thanksgiving so I let it go. I email the bakery but no response. So I call and that 's the worst part. Stephanie the owner takes the call. I 'm expecting an apology for the wrong cake, INSTEAD I am met with this obnoxious accusatory tone. My cake had NONE of the ingredients listed on their website. Yet she insists it 's the right cake but they 've had a couple changes to the cake. Right off the bat I say it 's described to have the chocolate curls on the outside and it doesn 't, her response is SO they forgot the chocolate curls but I signed the waver. WHAT?! Essentially INSPECT your cake before signing that waver. But even the white topping on the outside is visibly different in the photos. Her response we used to use white chiffon and now it 's white slightly different method . What does that even mean? What is this slightly different method on top? How was I supposed to know not to sign the waver without cutting into the cake? I continue to the inside, ok there is no chocolate part inside this cake, it 's all white. She keeps interrupting and talking over me correcting me hazelnut nutella okay okay I don 't have the exact names right. BASICALLY THERE SHOULD BE BROWN INSIDE THE CAKE and regardless of what you want to call it It was all white. Do you have a picture of the inside? she asks. Wow now I 'm like beyond floored. I called confused as to what happened, I guess I should have brought an attorney. Unbelievable attitude. She goes on to list changes they 've made to this cake. So yeah that many more reasons to NOT ORDER THAT CAKE because they upped the price and took out everything good apparently. But it doesn 't even matter, I got the wrong cake. I get it it 's a small business, so she doesn 't want to have to pay for it. But I point out the fact that she hadn 't once apologized for the mistake. I 'm not a stinky person looking for a problem. All I wanted was to know what happened and sincerity would 've made it all better. I begrudgingly got an okay I apologize if it was our error something really ingenuine like that. That sucks.
