Angel Curry Centre - London

Food was excellent and well priced. I had no complaints at all and was discussing returning for more soon. That was until it came to paying. Our bill was cheap, 31.50 for two of us and we were nice and full. I asked to pay by card and asked to put the payment up to 35 to give a tip. The waiter looked at me and said, “Haven’t you just got cash for the tip?” I replied that I rarely carry cash and would like to just add the amount onto the card payment. I then entered the 3.50 into the gratuity section and proceeded to pay. I went to hand the device back and it was snatched from my hand to where I almost accidently pulled my card out of it. I was then told “I don’t get those tips, I can only keep tips in cash”. All of this was done in an incredibly rude manner. I paid a tip after all, and I now wish I hadn’t. I won’t be going back if that is the attitude you have towards well meaning customers. It’s a shame because we really enjoyed the food and the experience right up until the very last interaction. Have words.

Excellent. almost too much trouble over my gluten free diet. food very good. came mild next time up to medium. and able to take my own wine a big plus. simple but nice white as cold as could be.

The Angel Curry Centre is my favourite curry house where you can bring your own alcohol. Clean and friendly service and the food is great as well. Will definitely go back again.

Very disappointing, I used to love this place. The restaurant was empty and the staff could not be bothered. The whole experience can be summed up in one word 'bland '.

Always fantastic food, and great value (esp since it's BYO). Always my preferred choice for a curry (or takeaway) in Angel.
