Contribuisci feedbackWe waited 10 minutes to be seated while the manager cleaned two tables before seating us at a table that was already set up. Our waitress served three tables, two of which were seated after us, but did not come to take our order. We were seated right next to her station where she was inputting orders. When we got up to leave, no one approached us. We asked to speak to the manager and complained about the lack of service. This was our first time dining at this location after having eaten at several other Bills restaurants, and it was a let down. The manager had no response, only offering a simple "I am sorry" without displaying any genuine remorse. We decided to leave, along with several other customers who had also been waiting awhile to be seated. Overall, our experience at this Bills location was shocking and disappointing.
Went here for brunch on a Sunday. Very friendly staff. Great food at a great price. Lovely atmosphere. Book to avoid disappointment.
95 minutes for beeakfast and of course it arrived wrong. Don't worth the wait, the service or the experience. If you want to torture yourself go
We booked here for my birthday dinner I wish we hadn’t bothered. Arrived just before our table booking time, table wasn’t ready, rushed us to a table with no high chair and scrambled trying to find a spare even though I’d put it in the booking. Had been sat for 20 minutes and no one had come over to ask for drinks would understand if it’d been really busy but it wasn’t at numerous times staff members were congregated around a till. Asked if we could order drinks, was told in a minute. Eventually ordered drinks, luckily the waiter at that time asked if we wanted to order our 17 month olds food glad he did because otherwise he’d have not coped with the wait. 20 minutes later, his mac and cheese arrive still no drinks, so we had been here 40 minutes at this point with drinks and hadn’t ordered food. Asked where our drinks were if we could have water while we waited and order mains. Eventually ordered mains, they arrived and were fine nothing to write home about but okay ditto cocktails. No one asked if we wanted condiments again had to go and ask the till party for some ketchup. Had been sat for ages with dirty plates after eating (no one has asked if the food was okay, if we wanted more drinks etc) when we decided to get the bill and go elsewhere for drinks and dessert. Really really disappointed as when I booked I’d looked at reviews and it looked great, but the service really really let it down looking at more recent reviews I see we aren’t the only ones. Not good, wouldn’t return, wouldn’t recommend.
I booked Bill 's Covent Garden well in advance for my 50th birthday meal. There were 11 of us altogether. We left our unfinished cocktails at Tequila Mockingbird in order to get to Bill 's in time for our booking at 7.30pm. We arrived in time and were told that the table was not ready and to wait outside. We waited for 30 minutes during that time no one came out to update us on what was happening. When a member of our party asked when our table would be ready and explained that it was for a special occasion the manager said and I quote 'Everyone here is special '. We were not implying that we were more special than other diners, only that it was a special occasion and having to wait 30 minutes in the cold with no explanation was not a great start. When we were finally seated we were given no table water until we asked for some 15 minutes after sitting and it took a further 20 minutes for anyone to come over to take our drink order (after having to go and ask! A member of our party spoke to a senior member of staff (unsure if manager or deputy manager about the situation and that what was to be a special occasion was turning into a terrible night. Then the manageress (short blonde hair not sure of name came over and interrupted the conversation, was very rude and aggressive claiming we were being deliberately obtrusive. When we explained how long we had to wait, the lack of awareness and service at our table and that what was to be a special night was being ruined she seemed to calm down and two bottles of complimentary prosecco sent to our table. We then had a further extended wait before our order was taken. Between when we arrived at 7.30 and when we received our food was an hour and a half. The managers left before we asked for the bill and were not around to support the staff when we found discrepancies in the bill. The manageress of this Bill 's was terrible and had an absolute lack of any customer service whatsoever. She would not acknowledge that the long wait times were a problem and in fact implied that we were the problem. The wait staff however were lovely and understanding of our situation. This was a memorable birthday but not in a good way. Avoid.
