Cafe Below - London

The service and atmosphere of the restaurant were excellent. However, the breakfast was just average - nothing particularly special about it. I would suggest adding some background music to enhance the dining experience. We arrived at 8am for breakfast and the restaurant was completely silent, which was a bit strange.

Visited this beautiful crypt restaurant for the first time in many years. Just as good as ever, and the service was impeccable. Generous portion of hot and well- prepared vegetarian quiche and mixture of salads. Won’t leave it so long for another visit..

I have visited this restaurant numerous times and really enjoy it as a lighter, healthier option compared to other sit-down restaurants in the area. They offer plenty of vegetarian options which I appreciate. On my recent visit, I had the vegan chili and my friend ordered the quiche with salad, both of which were very tasty. The staff were attentive, the service was quick, and overall we had a wonderful experience. The only downside is that the restaurant can be quite noisy, but that's understandable since it is located in a crypt and wasn't originally designed to be a restaurant. This might not be the best choice if you have difficulty hearing or prefer a quieter atmosphere. On this visit, I also took the time to explore the church above stairs, which is a peaceful oasis in the busy City of London with modern-looking stained glass windows.

I always enjoy eating at The Cafe Below. Well cooked, healthy but delicious food. Service was great, just slightly slow catching someone's eye to pay, but overally thoroughly enjoyed. Acoustics can be quite loud when full but great atmosphere.
