Clicia - London

This was my first time visiting Clicia, accompanied by a friend who has frequented the restaurant several times before. Upon our arrival at 7.45, the place was empty, but quickly filled up after the local fireworks display had ended. With only one waiter, the service was a bit slow, but we weren't in a rush. The menu offered a variety of Turkish/Mediterranean options, and we both opted for mains. The salmon was excellent, while my fish medley was unexpectedly hotter and spicier than anticipated, but delicious when paired with creamy yogurt (which was promptly brought when requested). We enjoyed Efes beer with our meal and finished off with Turkish coffee. The waiter was friendly, and the ambiance was not too loud. Overall, a very nice experience - I just wish the restaurant was closer to my home!

I love this restaurant and always enjoy coming here. This time, I made a reservation for 2 and we were seated at a lovely table by the window. I have also been here with a group of friends before and had an equally pleasant experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

This is a neighbourhood standby for us. Starters mostly good, meat skewer dishes tasty and home made looking chilli sauce on request is a nice touch. However the rice has always been dressed with quite a bit of oil, which is a shame as it doesn't need it.

Clicia in Stokey is a friendly retreat, cosy on a cold night and with a comforting, albeit familiar menu. The hot meze starter was lovely unusually small by local Turkish standards but flavoursome, varied and served with delicious fresh bread. The lamb main was nice if a little oily, so when merged with equally oily veg gave a somewhat monotone flavour; my partner's lamb was served with a rich tomato sauce and mash comforting if not earth shattering, which sums the place up nicely.

We went there for brunch, fabulous deal. Omlettes were really great but other other cooked breakfast was just okay.
