We arrived during happy hour and enjoyed the food from the pre-theatre menu. The restaurant started to get busier as a live band playing Cuban music began at around 7:30 PM, even singing "Happy Birthday" in Spanish! We had a lot of food and drinks for four adults over five hours, and the total bill came to £150, which I found to be reasonable for Central London. The Waterloo branch of the restaurant is also good.
Had a really nice time here, food was really good and affordable, with great service from Emily who was very nice and attentive.
Food was good but venue has a budget feel to it .Seating is very limited
Great to have this place back since the pandemic. Still the best value hot lunch in the city. Rice, beans, plantain and your choice of 1 of 3 meats for £6 (if you bring your own food container or £7 without) is both incredibly tasty, great value and environmentally conscious. They also need to strongly consider bottling and selling their garlic sauce separately.
I believe this restaurant offers a great balance between price and quality. The freshness of the food was never in doubt during my visit.
