De Amicis Ristorante Italiano - London

We all enjoyed the food the calamari and prawn starters were excellent. The pasta bolognese was delicious, as was the chicken with parmigiana. The pudding menu had everything you wanted so it was hard to choose, but I can recommend the apple pie and the profiteroles. The restaurant feels authentically Italian and the service was excellent.

Today my Mother I chose the fresh porcini risotto as recommended. It was truly, truly delicious! Vai a mangiare.....you won't be disappointed!

Can’t rate this place highly enough the service was excellent and the special of Sardine Spaghetti totally delicious. My children licked their plates clean. Will definitely be returning.

A huge let down. This used to be one of our regular places to visit whenever we are in London. But after this catastrophic service, I'm not sure any more. We were 6 people, and waited for over 30min before orders where taken. We observed multiple couples that arrived after us getting served before us. When the food arrived, it was good but what happened to the fresh pepper and parmesan cheese to top off the pasta? They used over 45min to clear the table (30 min for the first half, and another 15min for the second half) and offer desert. At that point we were done, werry done. And waited another 20min for the bill, which we had asked to be splitt (2 families). Not even this had been done, as requested when we ordered. And to top I off, they had the arrogance to grant themselves (for us an involuntarily) tip/service charge for this lousy service

Second visit here. Tonight I asked for the Beal Picatta however I wanted a side of short pasta with tomato sauce and they obliged. The plate was delicious. I would have given 5 stars except that they did not offer bread (a sin in Italy) and the picatta portion was smallish. Still, a great place to savor good Italian cuisine.
