We were a walk in and waited to be seated for at least 5mins, no-one greeted us even the male server who was at the front, and there were two male server walking to and from. There was a couple just near the front who was also looking around waiting to have there order taken. Eventually a lady came from the bar and took us to our table. This was our first dine in experience. We looked at the menu and ordered in 15mins. We waited about 40mins for before all the food came out. We weren't told there would be a long wait and no-one came to check on us. There were two other tables also looking around.even the call bell didn't suffice. Tilapia pepper soup was amazing and definitely should be more main due to its size and probably price. We ordered two main jollof meal and it's huge. This is by far the best jollof rice I've had, maybe it was the dine in rather than take away that made it taste good, and in that instant I forgot about how long we waited. Good presentation with a small salad and chopped up plantain. Overall the ambient and service was ok but the food was delicious. I'll just stick with take away.
Never had Nigerian food before didn't know what to expect. Uda the waitress was very helpful in recommending dishes for us to enjoy! I'm now a big fan of Nigerian food and can't wait to try more dishes! P.s the serving the serving size is very generous!!
This review is quite overdue as we visited in February but I thought I’d still write one. My friend and I were craving Nigerian food, so we randomly decided to visit and were seated quickly. I ordered the pounded yam with egusi and chicken, my friend had amala and ewedu. They were quite accommodating to her as she’s vegetarian, they were able to serve her a portion without any meat but she was unable to have the gbegiri. We shared a portion of yam chips and pepper sauce which was also really tasty. The portions were really good as was the food itself, just wish they had more veggie options but overall a nice place! (We also got some jollof rice and ayamase to take home with us which was sooo good!
Despite the restaurant being busy, we were able to get a table right away. It was my first experience with Nigerian cuisine, and I was truly impressed by the aromas, generous portions, and quality of the food. I was a bit concerned about the spiciness of the dishes, but I managed just fine—even though I'm not a big fan of spicy foods. I rated it 4 stars because the cleanliness could have been better; there were food scraps on the floor under some tables, and we had to wait quite a while for our meal. However, the wait was worth it in the end! I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for new experiences and who is open to trying different cuisines.
