Contribuisci feedback‘Martinis at 7 p.m.’ how these words let my heart sing. especially when the martinis are in question come from alessandro palazzi, the chef barman at Dukes’, right in front of st. james, and the world’s leading Martini-mixologist. ian fleming used to be regularly at the bar at Dukes’ and would have enjoyed the seriousness with which alessandro approaches his art. he mixes me a truffle martini that coats the tonge with seductive tones of boscy mushroom before delivering a tsunami of alcohol, which at the same time stuns and stimulates the brain. have they one, have two, they have not three or I will not be held responsible for their actions.
The restaurant was a little quiet, but soon a bit filled. Now I have to say if they are looking for a party atmosphere, thirty six is not the place for them, although it is ideal for a relaxed and quiet night and the perfect place for taking the elders. tori and I would like the new rustic menu with an amuse bouche by apfel and sellerie suppe. the suppe was delicious creamy and the perfect way to warm my dicks from the icy cold night. it was accompanied by two fluffy mini-loaves that had a beautiful crust. I have to admit that I thought the menu was a little limited, as there were only four options for the starter and four for the main, but happy for us we saw some of our favorite dishes available. tori chose the white crab with avocado and pink grapefruit, a very light fresh and cesty dish. the court is actually more reflective for the kindness of the cook; nigel mendham grew up in norfolk and spent his summer on the beach clam picking and crawling and then he would return to home to cook with his mother. nigel has drawn inspiration from the background in norfolk for the dishes on the menu.
It is another taste of food. at the beginning you will feel that it is small and not enough for a person like me will be eating a lot. but when they begin to eat and feel the taste, they will be full. I usually eat very fast, but with this I went slowly. I all tasted. the lamb was so delicious!
Eat fine. great chefs. the set menu was exceptional in quality and worth, but you have to ask! the service we received from denisa was great. well done and thank you!
Amazing food, beautiful hotel and restaurant and lovely staff. What's not to like. The set menu was amazingly good value. I will definitely be going again.
