The dressing was excellent. Each of the five of us had a different main course, all of which were fantastic. Kudos to the chef and the wonderful staff.
This restaurant is my favorite in all of South London. The atmosphere is stunning and the staff is always welcoming, warm, and friendly. It feels like coming home to friends and family when I have a drink or a bite to eat at The Hood. They have a marvelous selection of wines and beers. The food menu is very creative and caters to everyone. The portion sizes are generous, I can have a starter and feel satisfied like I had a main course. Hands down, if you haven't been here yet, you should definitely go visit.
I thoroughly enjoyed my Christmas dinner last night at this restaurant. The service was excellent, with attentive servers who paced our meal perfectly from appetizer to dessert. The figgy pudding, while slightly dry on the edges and lacking in fruit, was still delicious, especially paired with the perfectly textured custard. The menu offered a variety of choices for each course, and my group particularly enjoyed the steak and brisket entrée. The sauces served with each dish were well-thought-out accompaniments. The wine selection was impressive, with a notable variety of French and South African reds available.
Forget to make pictures what is really a compliment! beautiful atmosphere, really friendly and chatting staff. eating was from this world (especially the trout! it is obvious that the cooks are intended to make every dish amazing. I was also really impressed with the choice of the wee on their menu. will definitely return:
I love Christmas dinner last night. it did not feel rushed and the evening meal was taken by the wonderful servers of the appetizer through the desert well. figgy pudding was allegedly damped, but was a little dry around the edges with not as much as I prefer. but it was quite tasty and the crumble was a good resistance for me. we loved the choices of each course. the steak and brisket entrée was perfect and the sauces on each of the meal times our group had pleasant and well thought out leads to the meal. large selection of weeps that are remarkable for their absorption in French and South African red wines.
