The Palomar Restaurant was our last stop in during our trip in London, and it turned out to be the perfect choice.

This is both one of the hottest and controversial Restos for middle eastern food.

Put my name down for two at 6:30pm and was seated at 7:10pm (they estimated 8pm).

Happy Hour from 5 to 7:30. We have frequented this bar many times over the years for the monthly music quiz and always enjoyed ourselves. On this particular visit, we arrived around 6:45 for the 7:30 quiz start time. We ordered a couple of beers and cocktails for my daughters, taking advantage of the Happy Hour specials. However, we were informed by the bartender that Happy Hour did not apply to quiz participants. Despite there being no mention of this exception on posters or in the menus, we were told we would have to pay full price. This seemed like a ridiculous rule and left us with a negative impression of the bar's attitude. Fortunately, my brother-in-law was able to get the drinks at half price by claiming he was not there for the quiz. In the future, guests should be aware of any hidden rules and the venue should clarify their policies.
