The menu had lots of choice, the restaurant had a lovely calm and peaceful family atmosphere even for a Saturday. The waitress was quite shy but the man (I assume manager) was v kind and welcoming. We will definitely come again and may even order takeaway some time. Thanks
This place is a gem of a restaurant, what a find!!! The food is incredible, the staff are soooo friendly and helpful. We went in 9 strong for my birthday, booked of course, and nobody in our group had a negative thing to say. Will definitely go back
It was a great pleasure for me and my work colleagues to be having to dine in a such a beautiful restaurant, the service was extraordinary, talking about food it was so delicious. the owner was so friendly and respectful , i would suggest everyone to try it out , the food over there will get you amazed
Ordered a take away VERY disappointed! Mixed starter £10.95 with an onion bhajia ;size of tennis ball must have been fried baked etc many times as hard as a rock). 3 small cubes of chicken a discoloured kebab plus a tiny lifeless samosa!!! My lamb jalfrezi £11.95 was full of onions (not adequately cooked) with about 6 8 pieces of meat just tasted of fiery chilli no layering of flavours. The Gurkhali chicken £12.95 was very red in colour, not tasty at all not as spicy as expected. Lamb biryani £13.95 was the most palatable dish but the curry sauce was watery, tasteless horrible. Sadly this was the most disappointing Indian meal we have had in ages. Sadly we were hungry, it was very wet the staff were not too articulate so we didn’t take it any further. Sadly there are far too many other better options we won’t be returning or recommending Kathmandu. It was quite costly a massive disappointment. Wish I had taken photos but I was too shocked !
Ordered delivery based on the good reviews. Disappointing: the food was hot but looked unappetising, with aubergines swimming in oil and Kathmandu chilli paneer covered in undercooked onions. Nothing had much flavour and there was no discernible spicing. No chutneys or poppadoms were included though I didn’t order any so maybe that’s their policy.
